Our Staff & Partners

Our staff is very small. We do not "employ" anyone, only Grant, our great leader! We do have great relationships with a few key partners that make this organization possible. Take a look and learn a bit more about who runs the site and what each of us do for you.

Grant Wallace

That's me!  I started this site as a selfish endeavor because I was working on a few helicopters as a mechanic.  I had a lot of questions that needed answers and there was just no good online resource for the Robinson line of helicopters.  It seemed to me that the worlds best selling helicopter should at least have an owners group.  So I took my little computer at the time and hacked out a simple website in a few days and published it for the world to see.  Over the past several years I have gotten better at being a computer guy and a little better at being a mechanic.  I hope you enjoy the site as much as I have enjoyed being a part of it.

A little about me

I grew up in Mississippi and learned about airplanes from my uncle and neighbor.  I caught the bug early on and went to school to be a pilot.  I ran out of money and joined the military.  After serving in the reserves for  several years I ended up with my A&P and pilot's license and went to work for a small regional airline as a mechanic.  I left there and went to work for a small company doing aviation data analysis for aircraft maintenance.  When I had decided I was smarter than everybody there (In hindsight I'm an idiot) I left there and started my own company and developed an online aircraft maintenance software application.  We trudged along for a few years and then I became a father and could no longer pretend to be the big shot business owner (Those of you who own businesses can relate) I decided it was time to move on.  Eventually, I ended up with a fantastic career at a great aviation company where I am the Technical Support Manager.  I live in Minnesota with my Wife Jean and daughter Bridget. I hold a commercial single engine land and sea ratings with instrument rating and an A&P.  (P.S. - Don't tell anyone.... I don't have a rotor-wing rating.....yet)

Moderators

Our moderators in the community forum are there as a defense against internet thugs who want us to cash a check for them. (Don't worry the check is good)  Since we launched the new site that type of activity is few and far between. Most of the moderators deal with issues related to legitimate members who sometimes need a gentle reminder about what is and is not appropriate behavior.  For the most part we have a wonderful group of pilots, mechanics, enthusiasts, & vendors who frequent the site on a daily basis to keep themselves sane.  The moderators just make sure they play nice.
