Need Overhauled Art. Horizon for Beta II

06-18-2013 08:38:32

Anyone know of a BF Goodrich PN. 1100-14 Artifical Horizon (or correct upgraded replacement if such exists), that can be exchanged for the factory installed one in my 2000 model year R22 Beta II.

After about 1,500 hours of time, and three times in the repair shop, I'd like to try a replacement, instead of fiddling with this again!

Thanks.

As a followup, I just received my BF Goodrich 1100-14 Artificial Horizon, back from the FACTORY, after a complete overhaul.
It should be reinstalled in the Beta II next week.

They have UPGRADED it to the "Helicopter Standard", for whatever that's worth to you.
Bigger Gimbel, upgraded bearings, better glue instead of locktite (???).
Hopefully the thing will now go the distance ?

This is the fourth time it's been redone in 1500 hours of flying (previous repairs were basic overhauls to the "AIRPLANE Standard").
No one ever explained there was a difference in these levels of repair to me.

Apparently, when my Copter was delivered in 2000, all the A/H Gyros Robinson was using then, were the Airplane Version of parts, and I'm assuming the Helicopter level, had not been created at that time.
