RR300 added to M250 turbine wheel cracking AD

    Note, the RR300 has now been added to Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2017-18-14 for the Rolle-Royce M250 engine, which requires the removal from service of affected 4th-stage turbine wheels. The AD is effective October 13th, 2017.

    The RR300 is not affected by the AD’s requirement for repetitive visual inspections and FPIs of 3rd-stage turbine wheels.

    4th-stage turbine wheels P/N RR30000240 remove from service within 2025 HSLI or at the next engine shop visit. Definition of “engine shop visit” is the introdution of the engine into shop for mx involving the seperation of major mating flanges.
    The 3rd wheel RR3000236 does not require inspection…..so the RR300 is okay until engine goes to shop for major work or hours are up for compliance?

    Thanks in advance for any clarifiations on this AD.
